Good news, Bruce Springsteen fans — several rumors about his upcoming tour have been officially (unofficially) released via various sources! Most of them were likely made up by disturbed losers who want to mess with you, but some of them may be true, just by coincidence. Here’s what we’ve got so far:
According to BTX user SleekMachine1975, the tour will kick off sometime between Jan. 4 and Jan. 29 at the Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas. It seems like an odd choice, considering this was rumored to be a Northeast tour, but SleekMachine1975 has never been wrong before. (Mostly because it looks like he created his profile yesterday and only has one post, but still.)
Plus there’s been Twitter chatter about stops at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., the Birt Arena in Nampa, Idaho, and the C. Douglas Cairns Arena in South Burlington, Vt., possibly in conjunction with a fundraiser for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. That last one seems iffy since the C. Douglas Cairns Arena is actually an ice skating rink, but you never know!
Also, SongMango.com has reported that the tour will feature the original lineup of Dr. Zoom and the Sonic Boom and play 12 consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City. But it appears that their only source is an unsubstantiated rumor that we posted on this blog last week, which, frankly, we made up while drunk. So that one’s 50-50 at best.
Here is a list of other rumored stops and dates — “??” means that we’re just pulling it out of our butt.
- ??/??: Tour Start (Date, City Unknown)
- ??/??: Toronto, Ontario (“Mid-Tour”)
- ??/??: Newark, NJ (“Late-Tour”)
- ??/??: Grand Rapids, MI (Very Early in Tour, Possibly Even Before It Starts)
- ??/??: Baltimore, MD (Possibly During Tour, or Maybe After Tour, Just Because)
- ??/??: Cleveland, OH
- ??/??: Starling City
- ??/??: 221B Baker Street, London
- ??/?? Cleveland, OH again
- ??/??: Mordor
Check back every day — nay, every hour! — for updates as we get them! Now here’s an old tour photo I stole from someone else’s website:
