On a typical week, the announcement of a Bruce Springsteen book tour — including interview events in New York and San Francisco — would be plenty to get Brucedom buzzing. But it’s only one tidbit in a flood of news coming out of the end (sort of) of the River Tour, the Sept. 27 release of “Born to Run” the memoir, and Bruce Springsteen’s general takeover of the world.
Some key links you may have missed:
• Australia and New Zealand are official! And judging from the typography, it’s River Tour redux.
• Bruce Springsteen will once again be standing up for heroes this November.
• Set your DVRs! Bruce Springsteen will be on CBS News’ “Sunday Morning,” Sunday, Sept. 18.
• Here’s the full Vanity Fair cover story on Bruce Springsteen, esteemed author. (But you should still buy the magazine, because print needs you.)
• MetLife threesome now available for download. Speaking of which, our friend Joyce Bassett makes a good argument for MetLife3 being the Best Show Ever.
• Let’s face it, APP.com is not going out on much of a limb here: “Signs point to Bruce Springsteen’s opposition to Trump.” (But you can’t beat the video of Asbury Park people singing their favorite Bruce songs on the boardwalk.)
• Bruce reads from “Born to Run” — either he’s been recording the audiobook, or he just keeps a big microphone around at all times, just in case.
• At this rate, only a matter of time before this 2012 Springsteen “news” story comes true.
• “A Springsteen concert is a celebration of community” via the Washington Post.
• Boston Globe makes hay out of Springsteen’s discounted Gillette Stadium tickets.
• Vulture has an “objective” ranking of all officially released Springsteen songs, which is impossible.
• “See the 38 people Springsteen follows on Twitter” — including @blogness! (Inspired by “Bruce Springsteen follows 35 people on Twitter. Katie Ledecky is one of them” in the WaPo. Oh, and Bruce met her and held her medals.)
• “Bruce Springsteen’s songs become world-premiere opera in Kentucky” — it would be reasonable for you to assume we just made that one up, but it’s a real thing.
• Our pal Jeff Vrabel broke the record for “Most Springsteen Songs Identified From Their Lyrics in One Minute,” apparently. No one knows why.

Oh fine, here are the Bruce and Patti bobbleheads too:
