We’ve been so busy keeping up with Springsteen’s European’s setlists — which have caused quite the debate, especially among people who aren’t actually there — that we’ve been remiss in pointing out some of the other Bruce news that’s followed him around the world in recent months. Mea culpa, which is Italian for “Fuhgeddaboudit!”

We’ll try to make up for it with this, links to some of the most thought-provoking and/or whatever is the opposite of thought-provoking recent Springsteen tidbits to come out of the mainstream press and guys in their parents’ basements. • Springsteen’s “Real Man” makes Rolling Stone’s list of “22 Terrible Songs by Great Artists.” And yet they still gave it five stars.

• The Music, Theology and Justice blog goes deep on “My City of Ruins.” 

• Bruce Springsteen donated money to a baby hospice while in Coventry, because of course he did.

• The Guardian: “A Bruce Springsteen show makes you feel like the best version of yourself.” Although let’s face it, for some of us that’s still not that great.

• I touched Bruce Springsteen once, and it was like feeling the warmth of 1000 suns. And apparently it wasn’t just me.
